For more information you can look up "scorecards" put out by different organizations, see who endorses your representative or the initiative that you are voting on, and read all view on the subject.
When you register, you will be asked to choose a political party, remember that even after choosing one (if you do not choose to be unaffiliated), it does not mean that you are locked into to voting for them if you find someone in a different party who better represents your interests, it just refers to what you generally support.
- When registering to vote, consider the "Vote by Mail" option for your convenience, especially if your employer or your responsibilities make it hard to get to a polling station on official voting days.
