Register to Vote!!

You can find out here.  Instructions for registering are on the side bar, along with some non-partisan information about you representatives and their challengers, including voting history.  For more information you can look up "scorecards" put out by different organizations, see who endorses your representative or the initiative that you are voting on, and read all view on the subject.


  • When registering to vote, consider the "Vote by Mail" option for your convenience, especially if your employer or your responsibilities make it hard to get to a polling station on official voting days.





When you register, you will be asked to choose a political party, remember that even after choosing one (if you do not choose to be unaffiliated), it does not mean that you are locked into to voting for them if you find someone in a different party who better represents your interests, it just refers to what you generally support.

ART 101 Supplies for Fall 2014

Most of your materials will be included in the supply kit offered at Blick Art $79.91including tax), a Blick representative will be in class on Wednesday, 8/20 to sell kits.  You may pay in advance by phone, or bring cash (exact change) or a credit card on Monday.  You may also go to the store to purchase it.  If you have to delay the purchase please see me.  If you already have many of the supplies, check with me to see if it would be better to buy the items separately.

1844 India St., San Diego, CA 92101.  Phone: 619.687.0050.  They are open M-F 9am-8pm, Sat 9am-7pm and Sun 11am-6pm. The store is 3 blocks from the County Center/Little Italy  (green line) trolley station.  If additional materials are needed, you will be notified in advance.

Materials: 

Required:
  • Sketch pad (Strathmore 24 sheets 80lb) 14” x 17”
  • X-Acto knife
  • Metal ruler 18” with cork backing
  • Drafting tape (1/2” wide)
  • Graphite pencils (7H and 4H)
  • 1 bottle Higgins black ink (non-waterproof)
  • Bamboo brush or pointed watercolor brush, large (#6)
  • Koh-I-Nor Rapidograph Technical Pen, Black 1 pt
  • Erasers (white plastic and kneaded)
  • Pencil sharpener
  • Metal palette knife, Large
  • 3 White nylon (soft bristle) Paint brushes (round 8, flat 10 and a filbert 14)
  • Acrylic paint, preferably Liquitex Basics,  (Mars Black 120ml, Titanium White 120ml,  Cadmium Red Medium 250ml,  Cadmium Yellow Light 250ml,  Pthalo Blue 250ml)
